At the Buckingham Center for Facial Plastic Surgery, experienced providers offer Juvéderm Vollure XC solutions for patients in Austin & Sunset Valley, TX. Over time, the skin will begin to lose its youthful elasticity, causing wrinkles and deep lines to form. Sun damage, weight changes, smoking, and genetics can make these changes even more dramatic, adding unwanted years onto the appearance. Unfortunately, no lotions or moisturizers can turn back the hands of time. While traditional dermal fillers are successful at smoothing facial lines, the results are short-lived. Today, however, the Juvéderm family of soft tissue fillers offers patients a long-lasting alternative: Vollure.

JUVÉDERM VOLLURE XC

Juvéderm Vollure XC is an innovative dermal filler, made from hyaluronic acid (HA). Created using a unique formulation, made from Juvéderm’s trusted Vycross technology, Vollure is perfect for plumping moderate to severe wrinkles and smoothing deep nasolabial folds. The filler can also restore volume across the cheekbones and the jawline, enhancing the facial features for a younger appearance. Approved by the Food and Drug Administration as a safe and effective treatment, Juvéderm Vollure XC is a long-lasting dermal filler, providing results that last for up to 18 months.

Juvéderm Vollure XC can:

  • Smooth deep nasolabial folds (between nose and mouth)
  • Ease moderate to severe facial lines
  • Restore volume across the cheeks
  • Enhance the jawline
  • Provide results lasting up to 18 months

TREATMENT WITH JUVÉDERM VOLLURE XC

At the Buckingham Center for Facial Plastic Surgery, each Juvéderm Vollure XC session is performed in a private treatment room. In most cases, the treatment takes less than half an hour to perform. Using a very small needle or a blunt cannula, the provider will place Vollure under the skin, smoothing lines and creating the desired facial volume.

Injections with Vollure are not considered painful. Most patients report a slight pinch or pull during the injection. However, Juvéderm Vollure XC is premixed with a local anesthetic, lidocaine. With each injection, the treatment area is gently numbed, ensuring patient comfort.

The benefits of Juvéderm Vollure XC can be seen immediately. Over the next several days, as any remaining redness or swelling dissipates, the results will continue to improve. Vollure’s HA also encourages the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin, further extending the benefits of treatment. Patients can expect the results from Vollure to last for up to 18 months, depending on the treatment area and extent of correction. Once the results begin to fade, a second Juvéderm Vollure XC session can maintain the smooth, contoured skin and wrinkle-free results.

WHAT IS JUVÉDERM VOLLURE XC?

Juvéderm Vollure XC is a cutting-edge soft tissue filler, made from hyaluronic acid. Vollure is unique in that it is the first and only filler approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to provide long-lasting improvement for deep facial lines and nasolabial folds. The filler can also be used to restore lost facial volume along the cheeks and jawline.

HOW IS JUVÉDERM VOLLURE XC APPLIED?

At the Buckingham Center for Facial Plastic Surgery, each Vollure procedure is performed in a comfortable, private treatment room, taking less than half an hour. Applied using a very small needle or blunt cannula placed immediately under the skin, Juvéderm Vollure XC smooths wrinkles and fills in facial lines.

WHEN WILL I START TO SEE THE RESULTS FROM VOLLURE?

The improvements from Juvéderm Vollure XC can be seen right away. Over the following week, as localized swelling dissipates and the body’s production of collagen gets a kick-start, the results from Vollure will continue to improve.

HOW LONG DOES VOLLURE XC LAST?

Juvéderm Vollure XC is the first and only soft tissue filler that can provide results that last for a full 18 months. Once the benefits of treatment begin to fade, a second treatment can be used to maintain the results.

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR JUVÉDERM VOLLURE XC?

If you are over 21, and find yourself frustrated with deep nasolabial folds or moderate to severe facial lines, then Juvéderm Vollure XC may be right for you. The injectable is safe for all skin types and ethnicities. People with a known allergy to lidocaine or hyaluronic acid should not receive injections of Vollure. In addition, the provider may recommend postponing a Juvéderm Vollure XC treatment for individuals who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have an active skin infection.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING MY VOLLURE CONSULTATION?

Prior to scheduling treatment with Juvéderm Vollure XC, a confidential consultation will be performed at the Buckingham Center. At this time, the provider will perform a brief exam of the patient’s skin and features, while reviewing long-term aesthetic desires. After explaining the pros and cons of the noninvasive treatment, the provider will determine if Juvéderm Vollure XC is right for your needs.

ARE JUVÉDERM VOLLURE XC INJECTIONS PAINFUL?

Treatments with Juvéderm Vollure XC are not considered painful, although patients may feel a pinch or pressure during each injection. However, to ensure patient comfort, Vollure is premixed with lidocaine, a local anesthetic. While injections with Juvéderm Vollure XC injections are generally well tolerated, an additional topical anesthetic may also be requested.
