Originally from the Mississippi Delta, Hudson Frey, M.D. attended Mississippi State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, graduated summa cum laude, and received the Lewis Brown Exemplary Service Award, awarded to the top student in the field of Microbiology. He then attended the University of Mississippi Medical School, where he served as his class vice president. During medical school, he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, which recognizes excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion, and dedication to service, as well as the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society as a senior inductee. He graduated medical school Cum Laude, an honor given to those who graduate within the top 5%.

Medical Education & Training

Dr. Frey completed an internship and residency in Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he gained valuable experience training in a top-tier high-volume medical center. During his training, Dr. Frey performed a wide range of both functional and cosmetic head and neck procedures and ultimately found his passion in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.During his training Dr. Frey was chosen to serve on various hospital administration committees and was active in medical school training and mentorship.

Following residency, Dr. Frey pursued a highly competitive fellowship through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and was fortunate to match at his top choice program in Austin, Texas, with Dr. Edward Buckingham and Dr. Erin Smith. Through training he further refined his skills and expertise in the cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the head and neck, including facial rejuvenation surgery, skin cancer reconstruction, and non-surgical treatments including neuromodulators, fillers, and lasers. He sought out additional training after fellowship to advance his knowledge on hair restoration procedures.

Personal Interests

Dr. Frey enjoys spending time with friends, is an avid reader, and spends his free time attending live music events, listening to vinyl records, running, CrossFit, pickleball and trying unique food.
