Submentoplasty is typically performed under local anesthesia with or without oral or IV sedation and lasts approximately one hour. Some dietary restrictions may apply temporarily, and you might experience mild tightness when moving your facial muscles. Patients are typically ready to return to work or their daily activities within seven days, though strenuous exercise should be avoided for two to three weeks.
