Revision Rhinoplasty
This patient is a 44-year-old female with a history of Radiesse injection to the nose followed by an open rhinoplasty with removal of the Radiesse. She had these procedures in another state 5 years ago. She now has a significantly deformed nasal tip and is interested in revision. Upon physical examination, and evident in her frontal before photo the tip of the nose was found to be severely assymetric and pinched with multiple sharp edges. Additionally, the nose was found to have a small dorsal hump. This is notable in the lateral before photo. Also note the over projected tip and hanging columnella. The patient elected to proceed with a revision rhinoplasty.
Apparent in the patient’s after frontal photo, the refinement of the tip has provided a remarkable result. The patient is very pleased with the outcome as the tip no longer distracts the viewer’s eye. The lateral after photo demonstrates the refinement of the dorsal hump, correction of the longer tip, and adjustment of the hanging columnella which has provided the patient with the original outcome she was seeking when she elected to undergo the original rhinoplasty.
