This 24-year-old female patient consulted with Dr. Frey expressing her desire for improvement of chin shape and neck definition. She mentioned she was unhappy with the look of her "weak" chin for a long time. She had temporary chin filler about a year ago and liked the change, but she is now looking for a permanent fix. On examination, her chin is set back further than ideal, though her teeth line up well and her bite is normal. She also has some slight sagging and fullness under her chin. Dr. Frey recommended and the patient elected to proceed with a permanent chin implant to give her more projection. Before the surgery, a dissolving enzyme (Hylanex) was used to remove her old filler. This ensures her chin is back to its natural shape so the implant can be placed perfectly against the bone. Her after results show the remarkable improvement yet natural result especially upon review of her lateral view
