This patient is a 74 year-old male who is concerned with the appearance of his neck. On physical examination, his neck is quite thin and he has excess cervical skin without submental fat and significant platysmal banding, however he had minimal jowling. This is apparent in the lateral before photos.
The patient is interested in the simplest solutions for which we discussed direct excision of his redundant neck skin with a geometric broken line closure.
The frontal after photo indicates the natural yet rejuvenated appearance the patient was seeking. He no longer has the significant banding or extra skin of the neck area which is apparent in his after photo.
