Three Wavelengths. One Session. Buckingham Center for Facial Plastic Surgery.

The HALO TRIBRID is the world's first triple-wavelength resurfacing laser, combining three distinct wavelengths into a single handpiece. At the Buckingham Center, this means patients can address surface texture, uneven pigmentation, and deep collagen loss in one comprehensive treatment rather than across multiple visits.

What Is the HALO® TRIBRID™?

The HALO TRIBRID integrates three proven laser wavelengths: the 2940nm Erbium, 1927nm non-ablative, and 1470nm non-ablative fractional. Each targets a different depth of the skin and a different category of concern, working simultaneously in a single session.

This is a significant departure from how laser resurfacing has traditionally been delivered, where achieving multi-depth results required booking HALO, MOXI, and Erbium resurfacing as separate procedures.

How Each Wavelength Works

The three wavelengths each serve a specific purpose:

  • 2940nm Erbium works at the skin's surface, vaporizing the outermost layer of damaged cells to improve texture, smooth fine lines, and address superficial scarring and roughness. This is the most ablative of the three wavelengths and drives visible surface renewal.
  • 1927nm targets the upper dermis and epidermal junction, where pigmentation lives. This wavelength addresses sun damage, uneven skin tone, brown spots, and discoloration by breaking down pigment and stimulating cellular turnover in the zone where tone is set.
  • 1470nm penetrates to the mid-dermis, where it delivers non-ablative fractional energy to stimulate collagen remodeling. This wavelength addresses deeper textural concerns and drives the longer-term improvements in skin firmness and density that continue to develop over the months following treatment.

Together, the three wavelengths deliver what no single device could accomplish in isolation.

Who Is a Candidate for HALO® TRIBRID™?

One of the significant advantages of the HALO TRIBRID is its suitability across all Fitzpatrick skin types, I through VI. Many resurfacing lasers have limitations for patients with deeper skin tones. The HALO TRIBRID's multi-wavelength approach can be calibrated for a wide range of skin types with appropriate parameter selection.

Candidates include patients with early signs of sun damage who want preventive results, those with more established texture and tone concerns, and patients who want meaningful resurfacing without the extended downtime of aggressive CO2 laser treatment.

What to Expect Before, During, and After

Topical numbing is applied before treatment to maximize comfort. Treatment time varies depending on the area being addressed but typically ranges from thirty to sixty minutes.

Following the session, patients can expect two to three days of redness and swelling. Days two through five bring the appearance of MENDs (Microscopic Epidermal Necrotic Debris), tiny dark particles on the skin surface that flake away naturally, carrying the treated cells with them. This is a normal and expected part of the healing process.

Initial improvements in tone and texture are visible within two to five days as MENDs clear. Collagen remodeling and deeper renewal continue to develop over the following weeks and months, with results building gradually over time.

Why One Session Changes the Approach

The traditional path to multi-depth resurfacing required scheduling HALO, MOXI, and Erbium as separate appointments, each with its own recovery period and cost. The HALO TRIBRID consolidates all three into one session, one recovery, and one elevated result. At the Buckingham Center, the HALO TRIBRID fits within our broader laser treatment menu, which includes HALO, MOXI, and Broadband Light (BBL) for patients whose concerns call for a targeted rather than comprehensive approach. To find out whether HALO TRIBRID is the right treatment for your skin goals, schedule a consultation with our laser team.
