This 44 year old female presented with concerns for jowling and an interest in tightening her neck angle. She had not undergone any previous procedures to her face. Examination demonstrates descent of the malar fat pads with cervicomental laxity, submental fullness, diastasis of the platysma muscle and microgenia due to bone deficiency. To address her concerns, she underwent a lower facelift with platysmaplasty and chin augmentation with a medium implant. At her 3-month follow up visit, the patient achieved a nice improvement in cervicomental laxity and a smooth jawline contour, the latter of which is best note on frontal and oblique views. The patient was quite pleased with her results.
