Restylane- Unilateral Upper Eyelid
This 64 year-old female presented in clinic concerned with the asymmetric appearance of her upper eyelids. Upon examination, the left orbital sulcus was found to have a superior height compared to the right as well a deeper inset appearance. She elected to undergo Restylane injection to return the eyelid to a more youthful and symmetric appearance. Botox was also recommended in combination with the Restylane to relax the muscles that are creating the scowling appearance of the brow.
The result she was seeking was obtained in a very subtle way. The left eye no longer sinks into the sulcus and the asymmetric height has been resolved by slightly increasing the projection the orbital fat pad with to become even with the right eye. The use of Botox with this treatment has provided the patient with optimal results.
