Rhinoplasty
This 56-year-old female presents in clinic as an avid runner desiring cosmetic improvement for the asymmetry of her nose as well as functional improvement for ongoing breathing obstruction. She has history of a septoplasty at age 15 years old.
On physical examination, her septum is midline. She appears to have some nasal obstruction due to tip support loss and possible internal valve collapse. The lateral before photo indicates further aesthetic concerns as the tip is under-projected and there is evidence of a moderate dorsal hump.
To address her functional and aesthetic concerns, the patient elected to undergo a rhinoplasty with conchal cartilage grafting.
The frontal after photo shows improvement in the deviation of the nose. The correction of the drooping tip as well as the dorsal hump is evident upon review of the lateral photo.
