Rhinoplasty
This 29-year-old female presented in clinic with desires to correct both functional and cosmetic nasal concerns.
Physical examination, revealed nasal obstruction due to septal deviation and valve collapse. Aesthetically, she also had a small hump with an under-rotated tip and a narrow middle 1/3 of the dorsum.
To address her concerns, we recommended a septoplasty, placement of spreader grafts and a cosmetic rhinoplasty to remove her nasal bump, straighten her nose and elevate her nasal tip.
Comparing the before and after photos, the frontal view demonstrates how the brow-tip aesthetic lines are now improved. On the before photo the side of the dorsum moves in and out giving it a wavy shadow appearance. The after photo shows one nice smooth line curving from the brow to the tip. The tip is also slightly elevated exposing the lip. The lateral and oblique view better demonstrate the reduction of the dorsal hump with a gentle concavity. The tip has been elevated adding slight rotation to the nose, giving a more pleasing appearance.
