Rhinoplasty
This is a 21-year-old male who presented with a severe septal deviation and complete obstruction of his left nasal airway. Examination of the external nose showed a deviated nasal bones to the left as well as a collapse in the middle of his nose correlating to his upper lateral cartilage. Intranasally the septum was touching the left nasal sidewall. On lateral view the patient had good dorsal-tip proportion other than increase in the columellar show.
The patient underwent a corrective rhinoplasty to improve his airway and the crooked appearance of his nose. His postoperative photographs demonstrate a great improvement in the appearance of the nose on frontal view which is now straight. His lateral view demonstrates preservation of the overall proportion and dorsal contour with improvement in the amount of columellar show.
