Rhinoplasty
This patient is a 36-year-old male who presented in clinic for cosmetic improvement for the large appearance of his nose. On physical examination, he has a large dorsal hump with a bulbous tip and an under rotated nose. Despite his lack of symptoms he has a severely deviated septum to the right with 95% obstruction. To address his concerns, he elected to undergo a cosmetic rhinoplasty and septal correction. His frontal before photo indicates the larger width in the top portion of the nose and a drooped tip making the patient’s nose appear long. The lateral before photo illustrates the large dorsal hump with which the patient was primarily concerned.
The after photos display the dramatic improvement in the size of the nose, especially from the lateral view. The long appearance has been corrected by altering the drooped tip. The wider portion has been naturally minimized. The patient is very pleased that the protruding dorsal hump has been completely corrected.
