16 year-old female patient with cosmetic concerns about her nose following a history of nasal trauma.
On physical exam, her internal nasal exam is normal. However, on her preoperative frontal view, her tip appears ptotic. This is more clearly seen on the lateral view which demonstrates a hanging columella and full infratip lobule. Also on lateral view, you can appreciate a dorsal hump and an underprojected nose.
To address her concerns, she underwent a cosmetic rhinoplasty. On the lateral view, her postoperative photos demonstrate a straight dorsum, correction of the hanging columella, a more aesthetically pleasing tip and infratip and increased projection. The oblique view demonstrates these features beautifully and shows a more balanced, natural looking nose.
She is now 4 months out from her procedure and is thrilled with the appearance of her nose.
