Rhinoplasty/Septoplasty
This 24 year old male presented in clinic desiring both cosmetic and functional improvement for his nose after a wrestling injury 7 years ago. The patient expressed difficulty breathing from the left nostril as well as issues with snoring. His before photos indicate the findings of the initial physical examination affirming his cosmetic concerns. The frontal before view depicts the deviation to the left. The lateral before view shows evidence of the small dorsal hump as well as the tip of his nose being asymmetric and under projected. The patient elected to undergo a septorhinoplasty.
The patient conveyed satisfaction shortly after the procedure with resolve of the functional issues he was experiencing. The after photos indicate the significant improvement of the correction of the cosmetic concerns of his nose. The lateral after photos best indicates the elimination of the unwanted dorsal hump as well as the slight adjustment of the once drooping tip of the nose. The frontal after photo shows the nose has been straightened and no longer reflects the injury once suffered.
