This 16-year-old male presented to our clinic with complaints of severe nasal deviation causing internal obstruction and an external deformity. He also did not like his dorsal hump but wanted to keep a strong masculine profile. He presented to discuss rhinoplasty and septoplasty. On examination, his nasal bones were shifted to the right. Internally, it was noted that he had severe septal deviation to the right.
To address his concerns, a cosmetic rhinoplasty and functional septoplasty were performed, along with an inferior turbinate out-fracture.
At 3 months, you can see that he no longer has the significant rightward curvature of his external nose noted on the frontal photo. You can also see his improved profile view following straightening of his dorsum and removal of his dorsal hump. His breathing is also much improved after straightening his septum, treating his inferior turbinates, and improving his internal nasal valve.
