This 51-year-old woman consulted with Dr. Buckingham concerned about sagging in her lower face and neck, along with fine lines around her mouth. She preferred the least invasive approach possible to achieve a refreshed look. On examination, she showed moderate jowling, deep lines from her mouth to her chin, and significant skin laxity in her thin neck. She also had some volume loss around her mouth and noticeable sun damage on her skin. While a full facelift woth platymaplasty was recommended for maximum results, the extended recvoery time did not fit into the patient's schedule. To address these concerns, Dr. Buckingham performed a limited-incision lower facelift and a minimimally procedure to tighten the lower face muscles and remove excess skin. The patient recovered well and is very happy with her results, especially her smooth jawline that is now well-defined. There are still slight shadows in the folds around her mouth and the dips along her jaw. To refine these areas, she was treated by Nurse Injector Nicole Elek with injectable fillers to add back lost volume as well as Broadband Light and Halo laser treatments, along with medical-grade skincare, to maintain her results and fix the remaining sun damage and fine lines.
