Rhinoplasty
This 35-year old female presented in clinic with desires to correct both cosmetic and functional nasal concerns. She had significant nasal obstruction as well as asymmetry of frontal, base and lateral views with significant septal deviation.
Analysis of her nose, showed a dorsal hump, an overprojected tip, and a deviation of the nasal bones, cartilagenous dorsum, tip and septum.
Her frontal before shows how deviated the nose is with severe bony deviation to her right and a “C” shape to the nose. Her lateral view shows the large nose with a dorsal hump and too much columellar show. The base view further shows the asymmetry and nostril collapse.
Comparing her after views, the lateral shows the marked improvement in the size of the nose and the relationship of the dorsum and tip as well as the hanging columella. The frontal view shows how the nose is much straighter and balanced. The base view also has much improved symmetry and the airway is significantly improved.
