Skin Cancer Reconstruction
This 50 year old gentleman was referred to us for reconstruction of his nose for a skin cancer. The cancer presented on the right side of the nose and was removed by a dermatologic surgeon using Mohs technique. The nose was reconstructed by harvesting cartilage from the nasal septum and designing a bilobe flap from the lateral nose. This procedure transfers nasal tissue from one part of the nose to the other in order to repair defects. The post-operative photos show nice restoration of the nasal contours.
