Facelift, Skin Cancer Reconstruction
This patient is a 61 year old female who presented with a basal cell skin cancer on her left nasal tip and sidewall. She also desired improvement for her jawline and neck and was interested in a lower facelift. The patient stated, “Why not recover from something fun while I have to look bad from the skin cancer. “
She underwent a local flap repair for her nose, after Mohs surgery to excise her cancer, as well as a lower facelift. Her frontal view shows the improvement in the jawline and marionette line area. The lateral view best demonstrates the improvement in the neck as well as the jowling. Both views show the maintenance of nasal appearance following the reconstruction. (A photo of her defect is available in the skin cancer section of our website.)
