This 55-year-old female presented in clinic with desires to correct her upper and lower eyelid concerns. She felt she looked tired all the time.
On physical examination, she was found to have excess skin on the upper eyelids as well as some fat puffiness near the nose. Her lower eyelids showed typical fatty bags with an orbital groove on the upper cheek/lower eyelid junction. She did not have significant cheek volume loss making her a good candidate for a lower eyelid fat repositioning procedure, where through an incision inside the lower eyelid the fatty bag is repositioned inferiorly over the upper cheek.
To address her concerns, she therefore underwent an upper eyelid blepharoplasty and lower blepharoplasty with fat repositioning as well as a TCA peel to the lower eyelids.
When comparing her frontal photos you can observe the youthful improvement achieved when combining these procedures. Notice the restoration to her eyes, making her appear more refreshed and alert. Her lovely hazel eyes now become bright and inviting.
