This female patient in her early 70s desired full facial rejuvenation, specifically reporting that she looks tired and desires a natural "glow-up." She had a previous upper blepharoplasty at another medical practice. Physical examination revealed skin changes consistent with advanced sun exposure and age related wrinkling. While her brow position remained stable, she exhibited continued moderate drooping of the upper eyelids with excess nasal fat. Significant volume loss was present throughout the midface, temples, and perioral area, coupled with moderate jowling and visible muscle banding in the neck. To address these concerns, Dr. Buckingham performed a multi-layered surgical approach. This included a revision upper eyelid lift to clear excess skin as well as excess nasal fat, a limited-incision facelift to tighten the jawline and neck. Additionally, he performed a fat transfer to restore lost volume, and finally, to improve skin texture and radiance, a full-face CO2 laser resurfacing. The patient received pre-surgical Botox to ensure a smoother surface for optimal results from the CO2 skin resurfacing. At her 3 month follow-up appointment the patient was very pleased with her results and recovery process. She is enjoying a natural and more youthful aesthetic with the reduction of laxity and deep rhytids. She will maintain these results with consistent neuromodulator treatments post-surgery.
