Lower Facelift
This patient is a 65-year-old female who presented in clinic concerned with wrinkling and sagging of the lower face due to aging. On physical examination the patient had a very thin neck and face. Notable in the lateral before photo she had significant jowling and neck sagging. Also found in her initial exam and seen in the frontal before photo is banding of the neck muscle. To address her concerns the patient elected to undergo a lower facelift to restore a more youthful appearance.
The patient is very pleased with her natural yet rejuvenated appearance as seen in the frontal after photo. The noticeable jowling, marionette and nasolabial lines have been improved. The after lateral photo indicates a smooth neck contour as a result of the tightening of the neck muscle (platysmaplasty). The jawline is now attractive and youthful.
