Revision Rhinoplasty
This patient is a 29 year old female who underwent a cosmetic rhinoplasty several years ago to correct a childhood trauma. Following the initial procedure from an outside physician, she now presents with significant residual nasal deformity. Upon physical examination, and evident in her before frontal photo, the tip of the nose was found to be asymmetric and she has an inverted “V” deformity of her dorsum manifesting as a “V” shadow. On the lateral view she has a small dorsal hump and a hanging columella. She also had a fracture of the causal septum which was shifting the nose slightly to the right.
She underwent cosmetic rhinoplasty with placement of spreader grafts to correct the inverted “V” deformity. The correction of the drooping tip as well as the dorsal hump is evident upon review of the lateral photo. Her post-operative photos show her nice improvement in all of the areas.
