Facelift, Face Fat Transfer, Acne Scarring
This patient is a 47 year old female with a history of acne scarring treated with laser therapy in the past by another physician. She is now concerned about age related change involving her lower eyelid and cheek region as well as her jawline and neck.
Review of her preoperative photos highlights these concerns. Her frontal and oblique view show how the cheek area has lost volume and the lower eyes have a slight hollowing which is giving a tired appearance as well as fine wrinkling in the skin. The lateral view shows the loss of anterior cheek projection as well as jowling and sagging neck skin.
She underwent a lower facelift and full face fat transfer to correct her aging characteristics and improve the acne scarring. Her after frontal and oblique views highlight the improvement in the lower eyelid and cheek region as well as the perioral area. The cheek flows into the lower eyelid at a higher point making the eyes less tired and giving the cheeks a more youthful full appearance. The acne scars are also improved from the filling of the fat transfer and perhaps some stem cell effect. The lateral view best shows the improvement in the jawline and neck from the lower facelift as well as emphasizing the anterior projection gained in the cheeks. (Results are nearly two years post-op)
