A 65-year-old female consulted with Dr. Frey regarding persistent concerns over the years with the appearance of her lower face and specifically cervical aging. Despite a prior central neck liposuction years ago at another practice, she remains dissatisfied with the appearance of her neck. Physical examination reveals jowling, mild cervical adipose excess, and significant skin laxity. Notably, she exhibits thick central platysmal banding and mildly prominent submandibular glands. To address her concerns, Dr. Frey performed a lower facelift and necklift combined with central platysmal band trimming and gland reduction, and revision cervical liposuction to restore and define the contour of her neck, chin and jawline.
