Rhinoplasty
This patient is a 25-year-old female interested in cosmetic rhinoplasty as well as concerns with difficulty breathing through her nose. She described the nasal breathing as bilateral with relief upon elevation of her nasal tip. Results of nasal examination and as indicated in the patient’s before photos, the overall appearance of nose is overprojected and underrotated with a prevalent hump and bulbous tip. Also nasal obstruction was present to the left side worse than the right. To address her concerns, the patient elected to undergo cosmetic rhinoplasty.
Her lateral after photos indicate removal of the hump as well as refinement and elevation of the tip. The frontal after photos show how the overall appearance of her nose is more proportionate to the other features of the face. By elevating the tip the eye is no longer drawn the length of nose. The patient is very pleased with the result.
