Rhinoplasty
This 44 year old female complained of both a cosmetically displeasing nasal appearance as well as difficulty breathing. Examination of her frontal before photo shows the severe asymmetry in the nose both in the nasal tip as well as the nasal dorsum. Her base view also demonstrates how the tip is severely deviated with asymmetric tip cartilage and nostril shape. The lateral view demonstrates how the tip is dependent, ie. under-rotated and under-projected.
She underwent an open septo-rhinoplasty with placement of spreader grafts, a right sided strut graft to reshape the concave tip cartilage, multiple suture techniques and rim grafts. Her frontal view demonstrates the dramatic improvement in the symmetry of the nose which is confirmed on her base view. The lateral view exhibits the significant improvement in the contour of the dorsum and tip with increased projection and rotation.
