Rhinoplasty
This 43-year-old patient presented in clinic today desiring both cosmetic and functional improvement for her nose after experiencing nasal trauma. Physical examination indicated she had external deformity with bony deviation to the left, a very thin and deviated cartilaginous dorsum and asymmetric bulbous tip. She also had a severely deviated septum to the right with 90% obstruction. Her lateral before photo also demonstrates evidence of a significant dorsal hump. The patient decided to undergo a cosmetic rhinoplasty with correction of the deviated septum. To correct her thin and deviated nose, osteotomies and placement of spreader grafts was performed.
Post rhinoplasty, the lateral photos demonstrate the dramatic improvement to her dorsal hump and improved tip/supratip proportion. The frontal view demonstrates significant improvement in her deviation and overly thin nose. This in combination with her septoplasty has corrected her internal nasal obstruction. The patient is extremely happy with the outcome of her procedure.
