This patient in her mid-50s came to the Buckingham Center to discuss her concerns with general facial aging, particularly in her lower face and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles across her entire face. During her consultation, Dr. Buckingham noted moderate sagging in her neck and jawline, visible vertical neck bands, and fullness under her chin. He also noted deep laugh lines around her nose and mouth, as well as downturned lines at the corners of her mouth, which were caused by facial tissue shifting downward from her mid-face to her lower face. Looking at her skin quality, he observed fine lines all over her face, with deeper wrinkles around her mouth. She also had broken blood vessels and widespread skin discoloration. To address her concerns, he recommended a lower facelift combined with full-face skin resurfacing using a CO2 laser and a chemical peel. When reviewing the patient's before photos compared to her three-month post-surgery photos, the transformation is remarkable. The patient's natural, youthful beauty has been restored, and she is thoroughly enjoying life with a refreshed, rejuvenated appearance.
